US Government and Politics
Attached is my final paper from my US Government and Politics course, which compares the political perspectives of the class. A survey was given to the class asking on their political views on many subjects. The information from the survey was broken down to compare the political competence of the students as well as what political group they associate themselves with. I learned a few things from the assignment. The first was that I was surprised to find out how little the average college student knows about the political system, also they did not know who was representing then in the government. These same students who don't know who the Governor of the state is also claim to have strong opinions in the political world.
Most the questions on the survey could have been more specific, many of the questions where vague and could be interpenetrates in different ways. Since it could be interpreted many ways it was easy to categorize the students into the political groups. This assignment also taught me a fair amount about the importance of clarity of the questions to provide an accurate and concise survey.
